Saturday 29 January, Colmenar Viejo
lot of water had dropped Friday on Colmenar, judging by the mud which had become the dump this morning. Would not be far away the snow, because the nearby San Pedro hill glowed white to based on the horizon, with the first light of dawn.
A fog bank appeared just outside the landfill when Juan entered at 8:10 pm, with 0 º C temperature quite tolerable in the absence of wind. Within the landfill
problems were multiplied to give up climbing to the plateau of the discharge, to not compromise the already problematic truck traffic along a narrow muddy road.
Forced to stay at the entrance of the discharge, your choices are reduced to observe how biased the few gulls that sporadically, perched on the slope formed on the old canvas ... and that, if the fog permitting.
never had more than 300 gulls at your telescope and the actual time of observation, divided by phases of ghosts due to the passage of machinery / trucks, had no time to reach a total.
before 13:00 h. out of the landfill.

Juan went back to the landfill at 8:30 pm, with 1 º C, overcast, no wind and minimal haze. Low light for most of the morning, another factor that hindered the readings.
It was about 12:30 h. and watched the gulls perched on the esplanade of the discharge. Between group of kids found a ring on left tarsus Red placed a 2 nd winter Gulls.
vision flat, uneven terrain and moving creature, not readability. For ten endless minutes, with appearances / disappearances flashing the ring amid a forest of legs and waste, could not crack the code. Finally, it flew and disappeared into the trash. Too bad!
As a curiosity, a laughing double metal ring of varying size, left tibia and tarsus. The ring on tarsus was Belgian and could read it in full. He went out of the landfill
shortly before 14:30 h.

This ring belongs to an alleged Baltic. Galicia is a previous observation on 30.11.2010 in Meirás by José Vidal and maintained in the process of acceptance, because it is not to believe.
Supposedly, it would be a bug banding some 11 years earlier, without prior appointment and instead unspecified Coruña 4,907 km (over 5,000 km from Madrid).
must be some mistake, to be clarified. Black
